BIOGRAPHY

SOLANGE A. SARRIA

 

is a visual and performing artist and entrepreneur. She is a classically trained singer, songwriter, poet, painter, sculptor, business owner, yoga teacher and martial arts enthusiast. She studied painting and sculpture at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Florida International University, with a minor in Art History. She works with various mediums including oil, watercolor, ink, synthetic hair and found objects for her assemblage sculptures. She has recently reconnected with her original passion for painting, mainly with oil, accepting commissions from collectors regularly while enjoying abstract and landscape impressionist subject matter. Solange performs her original soultry jazz music and poetry at various venues throughout Miami. Catch her teaching yoga and connecting with the local community at the Selina Golddust in the Miami Modern district of the iconic art deco area of Biscayne Blvd.
